For Homeowners

Your yard is where your family gathers, your kids play, and your weekends are spent. After months of winter, you deserve a clean, healthy landscape without spending every Saturday catching up on yard work.

For Property Managers

Tenants notice. Clients notice. A neglected landscape after winter sends the wrong message. Our commercial spring cleanup keeps your grounds professional and your properties compliant with HOA and municipal standards.

How It Works

Our Spring Cleanup Process from Start to Finish

Discuss your project, review the proposed scope and plan the next steps with our team.

  1. Request Your Free Estimate

Give us a call at (857) 756-3404 or fill out our online form. We will ask a few quick questions about your property size, location, and any specific concerns you noticed after winter.

There is no obligation and no pressure. We want to understand your property before we quote, because cookie-cutter pricing leads to either overpaying or underservice. We serve properties throughout Plymouth County, Bristol County, and Cape Cod.

  2. On-Site Property Assessment

Our crew leader visits your property to assess the full scope of work. We walk the entire property documenting debris load, lawn condition, bed status, hardscape damage, and any issues that need attention. This typically takes 15 to 30 minutes.

You receive a detailed estimate broken down by service component so you can see exactly what you are paying for. We also flag any issues we discover, like shifted retaining walls or irrigation damage, so you have a complete picture of what your property needs this season.

  3. Schedule Your Cleanup

Once you approve the estimate, we schedule your cleanup based on weather conditions and the optimal timing for your property. Spring cleanup in southeastern Massachusetts typically runs from late March through mid-May, depending on how winter ends.

We coordinate timing so dethatching and pruning happen at the right point in the season for your specific lawn and plant varieties. Residential properties can be scheduled around your family's routine, and commercial properties are timed to minimize business disruption.

  4. Comprehensive Cleanup Execution

Our crew arrives with all the equipment needed to complete every phase of the cleanup in a single visit for most residential properties. Larger commercial properties may require two to three scheduled visits. We follow the systematic process: debris removal, dethatching, bed work, pruning, mulching, and first mow.

All waste material is hauled off-site the same day. We leave your property looking maintained and ready for the season. If weather interrupts the work, we reschedule promptly and communicate any changes to the timeline.

  5. Final Walkthrough and Handoff

After the work is complete, our crew leader does a final walkthrough to verify quality and completeness. For residential clients, we walk through findings and recommendations in person when possible. Commercial clients receive a written report.

We share seasonal maintenance recommendations tailored to your property. If we identified issues during the assessment that need follow-up work, such as hardscape repair, irrigation service, or new plantings, we provide separate quotes so you can plan and budget accordingly.

Henrique and his team are fantastic!!! They are very hard working and meticulous with their work. I called him to quote hydro seeding my front and back yard after putting in a pool last year. His pricing is competitive and best around. I could see grass after just 7 days! He built a retaining wall in the back and it completely framed my yard perfectly. He even helped me find an irrigation company that put in a sprinkler system. I cannot recommend Henrique enough, even my neighbors have used him due to his workmanship. He is also a super nice and trustworthy person. I will be calling him for any future projects I need.

Common Questions

Spring Cleanup FAQ for Massachusetts Properties

We hear these questions every spring from homeowners and property managers across southeastern Massachusetts. If you do not see your question here, give us a call and we will be happy to help.

A comprehensive spring cleanup from Contrast Landscape includes debris and leaf removal, lawn dethatching, the first mow of the season, bed edging and cleanup, selective pruning and trimming, mulch installation, and a full property assessment. We follow a multi-phase process that addresses every aspect of winter recovery so your property is ready to thrive all season.

Spring cleanup in southeastern Massachusetts typically runs from late March through mid-May, depending on how the winter ends. The optimal timing depends on ground conditions, frost dates, and what your property needs. We recommend scheduling your estimate in February or early March to secure your preferred date, as our calendar fills quickly once temperatures rise.

Spring cleanup pricing depends on property size, debris load, lawn condition, number and size of planting beds, and which services are included. We provide free on-site estimates so you get accurate pricing based on your specific property rather than a generic quote. Our estimates are itemized so you can see exactly what you are paying for and adjust the scope if needed.

Yes, all debris, thatch material, trimmings, and old mulch are hauled off-site the same day for proper disposal or composting. We do not leave piles on your property or blow material into corners. Your property looks clean and maintained when we leave.

Mulch installation is a separate line item in our estimate because the cost varies based on bed size and mulch type. We offer cedar, hemlock, pine bark, and colored mulch options. Many clients combine mulching with cleanup for convenience and to save on mobilization costs, but it can also be scheduled separately if preferred.

Spring cleanup is a one-time, comprehensive service that transitions your property from winter dormancy to the active growing season. It includes tasks that regular lawn care does not, like dethatching, bed restoration, winter damage assessment, and pruning. Regular lawn care, which includes weekly mowing and maintenance, begins after the spring cleanup sets the foundation for the season.

You do not need to be home. Many of our residential clients provide gate access or leave instructions for us. That said, we recommend being present for the initial walkthrough if possible so we can point out findings and discuss recommendations together. We will leave a summary of the work completed either way.

Spring cleanup should happen first. Debris on the lawn and in beds can block sprinkler heads and mask broken components. Once the property is cleaned, dethatched, and edged, the irrigation system can be started up and properly inspected. We can coordinate both services if your property has an irrigation system.
